Butterfly Dreams (Cassette only)
An all-instrumental collection of compositions inspired by nature. Dedicated to the memory of Elgin's Mother, Gerry Wells, each of these recordings has its basis in natural sounds: the rhythms of spring peepers and catydids, the rumble of thunder against the counterpoint of raindrops, or the call of Mourning Doves. |

NightDrives (Cassette only)
This concept album is all-instrumental, featuring alto sax. Funky and soulful, but heavily synthesized, these arrangements are a study in how to blend musical styles. From Do-Wop to Funk to Disco, the object was to bring together whatever makes you feel good, and keep on driving. |

Mirage (Cassette only)
Elgin's second album, this is a highly eclectic collection of original music. Techno-Funk and Dance beats give way to soulful ballads, while Alvin Speights' bass track on "Novacaine" is definitive. Elgin's sense of humor unfolds in "Bad Things," while, at the other end of the spectum, "Mirage," still his best known composition, heralds later New Age works (see "Butterfly Dreams," above). |

Brand New Love (Cassette only)
Recorded at Stone Mountain Music Studio in 1980, Elgin's first album marks his movement from Rock/Pop into a Jazz direction. The very danceable title song was written for his baby daughter, Laurel, whose voice can be heard in the intro. "You'll Never Know," a Samba, was the first Elgin Wells song to receive airplay, on WQXI's Jazz Flavours, in 1978, and Jamy's Tune and Dinah's Delight show an unmistakable swing toward Jazz. |

| Titles include: A Brand New Love Song, You'll Never Know, Jewel City (written when Elgin was 19), Jamy's Tune, Dinah's Delite, Is This The Last Time?, Icarus, Night Life With My Wife | |||||||||||||||||||
